Slices

We went, we ate, we came home, we snoozed. That's what happens when two old people eat at lunchtime.

Mine, and probably my favourite bit.

Husband's.
That was the only choice on the menu. We both had everything else!

All delicious.

Here is Husband choosing his wine. The restaurant takes its name from its shape. You can just see how it tapers to a point.

It's only a small restaurant. There was seating for fourteen but only two couples in for lunch today.

Tonight we hope we can stay awake long enough to watch the British and Irish Lions play their first game. The Lions only happens every four years when representatives of the best of the countries travel to the southern hemisphere to play a series of games and test matches against one of the great rugby nations, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia, which is where this year's tour takes them. Tonight's match is a preliminary though. It's against Argentina and is in Dublin

We went and ate but we haven’t slept yet. Yet.

I do much better when I eat a light meal at lunchtime, but sometimes one has to sacrifice

Not only does everything look tasty but the presentation is fabulous.

The British and Irish Lions lost their preliminary game for the first time in 54 years - only by four points, but let's hope it's not a bad omen!

It is so pretty! But not too pretty to eat!

Hope you have now.

One does have to make the sacrifice, I agree, Kathy.

Nothing like my food at home!

They were missing lots of the first team players I think.

That looks interesting. I'd need footnotes to know what I was eating. Also how to.

WE were given a little leaflet explaining what the food was.
